In our Pottery Shed, pottery wheels allow our campers a chance to learn how to throw a pot and practice hand-building.Īrchery & Riflery: The archery and riflery ranges are outfitted with top of the line equipment chosen with the highest standards of functionality and safety in mind. With 5 beds, the Health Center allows campers a place to sleep overnight under the watchful eye of one of the two full-time nurses or on-site physician if medically indicated.Ĭreative Arts: Our Arts & Crafts buildings are decked out with every kind of creative supply campers could possibly need. Health Center: The Health Center has all basic medical supplies needed to keep campers safe and healthy. We also have basketball and tennis courts on-site. Fields are well maintained and provide playing surface for a variety of activities from baseball and soccer to football, ultimate frisbee and team-building games. Girl’s Camp has one large ball field while Boy’s Camp has both an upper and lower ball field. Sports Facilities: Large sports fields, known affectionately as the Ball Fields, are home to our sports programming. Counselors sleep in the cabin in a separate quarters partitioned off from campers, but closeby. Girl’s cabins have individual modern bathrooms and central shower-houses in the village, while boy’s cabins have washhouses with updated bathroom and shower facilities. The highlight of each waterfront is our famous water wheels they are a favorite of Thunderbird campers and won’t be found at any other camp as they are a Thunderbird original design.Ĭabins: Campers live in spacious cabins with electricity, pinewood bunk beds, and cubbies for personal belongings. All equipment is modern and meets the highest safety quality standards. ![]() Available water sport supplies include canoes, windsurf boards, stand up paddle boards, fishing boats, paddle boats, kayaks, funyaks, water skis, wakeboards, and sailboats. Waterfront: With more than two and a half miles of lake shore and over 750 acres on quiet and calm Lake Plantagenet, our waterfronts are some of the premiere in the country. Three times a day, campers enjoy delicious and nutritious meals, served family-style while seated at communal tables. Lodge: Our log cabin lodges are at the center of life at each camp. Our work is never done and we believe it shows. On an annual basis, we update and make improvements in different areas of camp.
